Jens & dCache admins Dave Britton would like dCache sites to be aware of a presentation given at today's management board meeting. His summary is below and the talk is attached. Regards, Jeremy "At the MB today there was a presentation on dCache and Chimera. Although it does not affect us as a Tier-1, there are a few Tier-2s who may wish to pay attention. The presentation is attached: In summary, there will be a "Golden release" version 1.9.5 at the "end of Sep or start of Oct". This will be supported long-term. Other "feature releases" will be shorter lived. E.g. the current 1.9.3 and .4 will be superseded by 1.9.6 at some point. Sites can choose whether to stick with the Golden Releases or to upgrade to each feature release". -- Scanned by iCritical.
