The German Section at the University of Kent, Canterbury, is looking for part-time assistance to teach a German linguistics module amounting to 30 teaching hours in the Spring term of 2010 (18 Jan - 09 Apr). The module, Looking into German 2, is offered to 2nd and final year undergraduate students, and consists of 3 contact hours per week (1hr lecture, 2hrs seminar) on two separate days. Topics covered are register, politeness, modality, intonation and focus.



Qualifications:

Essential: Master's degree in German Linguistics, native/near-native competence in German

Desirable: PGCHE or equivalent.



Salary:

£1257 over 12 weeks, including two Reading Weeks (hourly rate ca. £41), with marking of coursework.
