Dear friend,

The Council for Learning Outside the Classroom is soon to launch its membership scheme.

Making no assumptions, we would like to explore how this membership scheme might help us to further the aims and objectives of the Learning Outside the Classroom Manifesto and serve the needs of LOtC users and providers. To this end, we are undertaking a number of market research and consultation activities with stakeholders to help shape our membership strategy.

This is an important area of work because a strong membership base will enable us to better influence LOtC policy and practice, help us to disseminate knowledge and lend us a louder voice when promoting the benefits of Learning Outside the Classroom. A successful membership scheme may also provide a sustainable source of funding for this area of work into the future.

Please take the time to complete the attached questionnaire yourself as well as forwarding it to colleagues, contacts and members of your organisation. We are interested in the views of a wide cross section of LOtC users and providers. The opinions of people who would not be interested in membership are just as valuable as those who would in helping us identify key markets for membership.

The deadline for returning the questionnaire is Wednesday 12th August 2009. Please email your completed questionnaire to [log in to unmask] .Thank you for sharing your views with us.
