The
Campaign for Drawing International Conference
‘Drawing
for Learning, Engagement and Enjoyment’
7-11
October 2009, London
Join
us for the first ever Campaign for
Drawing International Conference held in partnership with the Drawing Research Network, from 7-10
October 2009, in London.
This
landmark event is a unique professional development opportunity for cultural
educators, teachers (in formal education and lifelong learning) and artists from
different countries to come together to explore drawing as a tool for learning,
engagement and enjoyment.
The
dynamic programme merges Thinking through Drawing, the Drawing
Research Network annual conference, and The Big Draw, a two-day
seminar led by Eileen Adams, the Campaign’s Power Drawing Director. It is a key
opportunity to hear
from eminent practitioners, share
experiences and network
with international colleagues, with optional evening activities at The Wellcome
Trust and the British Museum.
Coinciding
with the Campaign’s tenth birthday celebrations, the conference includes visits
to exemplar Big Draw events across London, including the V&A and the Royal
Academy of Arts, and focused discussion on engaging adult learners and visitors
with museum and gallery collections – through drawing.
Drawing
for Learning, Engagement and Enjoyment has
the full support of the EU Lifelong Learning Programme. European residents from
outside the UK are eligible to apply for up to 1000 Euros of Grundtvig funding
attend.
