You wait months for a release to come along and then two come on the same
day! Note that the versions of Mosflm and iMosflm announced here supercede
the versions included in CCP4 6.1.2.

We are pleased to announce the release of Mosflm (version 7.0.5) and
iMosflm (1.0.3). They are now available from -

please feel free to download and play with the program. There are
executables for Linux, OSX and MS-Windows, and I've built a new installer
for Windows that might be easier to use.

Essentially all of the work on these improvements in iMosflm itself was
performed by Luke Kontogiannis, who left us at the end of June. We would
like to thank Luke for working with us for the last 18 months.

Enhancements to iMosflm
====================
* Direct beam search during indexing.
* Pointless can be run multiple times as images are being
integrated
* Accuracy of Strategy prediction improved.

* Detector parameters can be reset with one button.

* Improved mosaic spread refinement during Cell Refinement.

* "Find hkl" and "Pixel values" options in image display

* Many bug fixes to improve stability of imosflm.

Enhancements to Mosflm
======================
Most of the improvements in Mosflm are bug fixes and to provide
functionality for iMosflm, but the pre-built executables for Linux and
OSX have now been compiled with the Intel compiler (ifort). This gives
improved stability and performance.

Plus:
  * Treatment of spots where part of the measurement box lies in an
inactive part of the detector improved.
  * For Pilatus images, correctly exclude spots lying in the gaps between
tiles from the strategy calculations done in imosflm.
  * Improved treatment of images from NOIR detectors, minor issues with
Rigaku CCD images dealt with.
