Dear Colleagues,
I received an e-mail request for help from a student named Meaghan Beadle at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. She is interested in traveling to Ireland to study the topic of Irish women's emigration to the U.S. in the late 19th c. She asked for advice as to what libraries and archives she should visit while in Ireland. I suggested that she go to Belfast to view the PRONI (Public Records Office of Northern Ireland) collection of emigrant letters, and that she should also check out the Irish Folklore Collection at UCD. Do any of you have any other suggestions? If you do, please send them to me, and I will forward them to Meaghan.

Thanks so much for your help.

All the best,
Peggy Lynch-Brennan
