Community Press Officer, Alzheimer’s Research Trust

Applications are invited for the full-time post of Community Press Officer at our busy national charity office just outside Cambridge.  The role will increase the profile of the charity in local communities across the UK. Min 1 years experience in a press office, education to degree level or equivalent required, as is willingness to explain medical research and to travel. Responsibilities include to:

• Develop effective working relationships with members of the media; respond promptly to queries, including occasional out-of-hours queries.
• Prepare, write, issue and follow up on press releases.
• Act as spokesperson in media interviews.

The Alzheimer's Research Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working team player, looking for a varied and challenging role. Starting salary £20k to £25k (dependent on skills and experience) plus benefits.
