Subject: Invite to Men's Health Week 2010 Kick-off Event

NATIONAL MEN’S HEALTH WEEK 2010 – Kick-Off Event

22nd September 2009, 2-4pm

Chelsea Football Club, Bonetti Room, Stamford Bridge, London

Men’s Health Forum would like to invite you to attend the Kick-Off event for National Men’s Health Week 2010 at Chelsea FC.

The Week's main goal is to get more men Up and Running through physical activity and sport. We also want to encourage the use of sports arenas and local facilities as places where health services and campaigns can be delivered to men.

The aim of this event is to promote partnership and engagement in Men's Health Week (14th-20th June 2010) among a wide range of organisations and people involved in health, physical activity and sport.  We hope that your input into our plans will ensure that this year is our most exciting and successful week to date.

With Men’s Health Week 2010 taking place in the early stages of the FIFA World Cup and the Olympics in 2012, we believe there is a perfect opportunity to get more men Up and Running.

The event will be chaired by Dr Ian Banks, President, Men’s Health Forum.  Confirmed speakers include Simon Morgan, Head of Community Development, Premier League, who will discuss engaging with men in the local community through football and Jane Riley, Associate Director of Public Health, Yorkshire and the Humber Department of Health Regional Public Health Group, who will talk about the benefits of participation in the Week for NHS and other local stakeholders.

We will actively involve participants in the discussion to get your ideas for the Week and feedback on our plans.

We do hope you can participate in our Kick-Off event.

Please register on-line using the following web-link.  http://www.menshealthforum.org.uk/userpage1.cfm?item_id=2844  This is an invite only event and there is no charge for attending.
