italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies Call for papers First MOSAICI conference on Poetry in Conflict University of St Andrews, Fife, Scotland 15-17 March 2010 Jointly organised by colleagues at the universities of St Andrews, Glasgow and Hull The conference will precede immediately the StAnza International Poetry Festival 2010 takes place on 17-21 March Keynote speakers will include Valerio Magrelli (who will give a public reading from his work on the evening of Monday 15 March) Alberto Bertoni (Bologna) Roundtable on Poetry translation and textual conflict with Valerio Magrelli and Marco Fazzini (Venice, Ca' Foscari) 500-word abstracts of 20-minute papers are invited on the broad theme of Poetry in Conflict, whether conflicts of translation, textual tension, war, social strife, etc. They should be submitted to the organising committee by a deadline of 30 September 2009.
