Medieval Itineries
For the later 13th and first half of the 14th centuries the List and Index Society have produced volumes detailing the Itineraries of Edwards I to III:

Edward I - Volumes 103, 132, 135
Edward II - Volume 211
Edward III - Volume 318

However, getting hold of these for reference may not be easy - perhaps your Record Office subscribes to the Society, otherwise it may have to be Inter-Library Loan.

Subject: Medieval Itineries

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone had come across any sources that describe and/or plot the routes of Medieval Itineries? I was thinking of recording them in some way on our HER…even just as GIS polylines.

Thanks!

Alex
