Hi Krysia,

We're in the process of scanning in our paper back-up files (reports, articles etc) at the moment. We're going with pdf format as well, but with Optical Character Recognition so that we can search them by text.

thanks

Alex

Subject: PDF A

Dear All

We are in the process of getting quotations for scanning our report library in London and have been trying to decide on the best format for storage and distribution.  After some deliberations we are thinking of going with PDF A.  Has anyone else used this format for report scanning?  If so, were there any problems with it?  Any comments on scanning formats other people have used would be really helpful as well.  Could you please reply to me off list ([log in to unmask] )?

Thank you,

Krysia
