A big thank you to all of those colleagues who took time to send me very honest replies to my query about the perceived decline in numbers of schools visiting heritage sites.

 

In the attached a collated response document I have removed any references that may identify any organisation or individual. You will find the evidence possibly points to an even more concerted/imaginative/partnering efforts to attract schools in challenging times. It would be fair to say that responses came from across a range of museums within the UK.
