Inspired by Bombay Africans – an exhibition produced in 2007 by the Royal
Geographical Society, *BOMBAY MIX* will explore hidden cross-cultural
stories embedded in our collective cultural + scientific heritage. It will
also look at the history of a selected number of Natural History museums
established throughout the British Empire with a special emphasis on
Manchester and Bombay (Mumbai).

*BOMBAY MIX *is* *recommended to anyone involved in the following
celebrations:

   - Manchester Science Week
   - Black History Month
   - Chinese New Year
   - National Science + Engineering Week
   - Local + Community Month

BOMBAY MIX is part of the NEW OBJECT LESSONS programme supported by the Wai
Yin Chinese Women Society.

* NEW OBJECT LESSONS
In partnership with Wai Yin Chinese Women Society (Manchester), local
historian Dominique Tessier will facilitate a new series of New Object
Lessons workshops exploring historical links between China + Britain.

Between 01/06/09 + 20/07/09, the workshops will take place Mondays, 2pm -
5pm at the Wai Yin Chinese Women Society.
