I am concerned
What is the evidence for this activity? What are the benefits and costs.
If I am to enable twitter which undoubtedly will take time what is the absolute benefit to me in terms of evidology?. Will I become more competent – knowledge skills and attitude - if I use this compared to web browsing using a bit of both push and pull technologies. What is the added value?

Isn't this an opportunity for a study?

Following numbers:
- 300ish: possible if you are regularly on Blackberry or i-phone and use a Twitter app (it's a bit like being at a conference with lots of conversations going on)
- 50ish: perhaps more suitable if you only login via PC some of the time (this is more like being linked to a department of colleagues)

I will try the evidence-based twibe when I have a chance

best wishes
Annabel

Dear all
good to see your all upto date with tweeting

couple of things I found useful in Ami and my early learning curve at trustthevidence.net <http://trustthevidence.net>

1) use some of the useful applications to manage your tweets

these include: tweetdeck http://tweetdeck.com/beta/
if your a firefox user the twtterfox https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5081

both of these automatcially sync with twitter and make the experience much better

2) We ve found following more that 50 people to much to handle, and We've chopped and changed them to suit our interests. One strategy some people use is to follow 1000 hoping they will follow them back. Completely useless as it means no one is following anyone

3) Weve also set up an evidence based twibe at
http://www.twibes.com/group/evidence-based?id=2961096

if you join it means any of your twitters (and the members) with evidence-based or eivdence in the body of the twitter will be located here and easily accesible
