Dear all

I am currently researching for my MA dissertation in Archives and Records
Management which includes an evaluation of the value of cricket archives in
England, as well as an examination of their present provision and
management. Such records can include minute books, accounts, correspondence,
photographs, scorebooks etc.

At this stage in my research I am trying to locate the whereabouts of
cricket records so as to build an understanding of the variety of cricket
records in very different archival institutions across the country, as well
as their contrasting value.

So far I have located cricket records in county record offices (Essex County
Record Office and Surrey History Centre), bank archives and the MCC Library.
Can anyone tell me where else I can find cricket records?

Such records do not have to relate to professional county cricket clubs
only; I am interested in cricket records of clubs and teams of all standards
and types, including amateur, staff clubs, women’s clubs, childrens’ clubs.

Many thanks,

John Porter
