Role: Pharmaco-epidemiologist Type: Pharmaceutical Company Location: Brussels area (Belgium) Duration: Contract Salary: Excellent salary + benefits + relocation package Details: Support to quantitative analysis of post-marketing surveillance data to assess the safety of vaccines; application of sound epidemiological principles to safety signal evaluation. The job may include study design, database selection, literature review, data analysis, interpretation and reporting. For this position, the focus will be on observed/expected analysis, where the observed number (or incidence rate) of cases of specific adverse events are compared to the expected number (or incidence rate) estimated from background incidence rates, adjusting for the main confounding factors. Adequate background incidence rates should be identified from literature search or by using existing databases.
