Thirty five years after its inaugural conference in Leeds in October 1974, SHCG returns to its Yorkshire roots to reflect on the past and look to the future. 

With presentations by some of the most respected people currently working in UK museums, this conference will cover all areas of curatorship including collecting, exhibiting and engaging with audiences.  It is the essential event of 2009 for anyone who works, or who has an interest in, social history in museums.
