Dear All

From today all regions in EGEE are expected to undertake their own
regular grid operations shifts (this replaces what came to be known as
CIC-on-duty). Our thanks are due in particular to Derek Ross and Catalin
Condurache who have covered the UKI participation in this work for the
last few years.

The UKI regional shift team is composed of five people (who you probably
already know): John Walsh (TCD), James Cullen (Manchester), Daniela
Bauer (Imperial), Kashif Mohammad (Oxford) and Dug McNab (Glasgow). They
will between them be monitoring the UKI infrastructure (using a regional
dashboard tool run from the CIC portal) and raising plus following up on
GGUS tickets just as before. The changeover should be relatively
transparent but if you notice problems please contact the team via:
uki-grid-ops at cern.ch.

There will also be an opportunity to talk about any observations from
the regionalisation of operations and lessons from STEP09 at the next
UKI meeting which is scheduled for this Thursday (18th June) at 10:30.
An agenda is being put together here:

Regards,
Jeremy
