This may be of interest to some... JOB ANNOUNCEMENT - Postdoc Position in Imaging Neuroscience of Emotional Learning and Sleep (Hamburg, Germany). A postdoc position is available at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, Brain Imaging Center NeuroImage Nord at the Institute for Systems Neuroscience. This 3 year position will be funded by the DFG SFB 654 and involves research on emotional learning and memory consolidation during sleep using fMRI and additional psychophysiological methods. The center NeuroImage Nord provides an excellent multi-disciplinary and interactive neuroimaging environment with its own physics, psychology and clinical neuroscience groups as well as a research dedicated 3T MR scanner and a whole head MEG system. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in psychology or neuroscience and possess at least basic computer programming skills. Furthermore, familiarity with fMRI and the neuroscience of learning and memory is helpful. Expected starting date is between August 1, 2009 and January 1, 2010.
