There will be two presentations:
Making
the most of MOSS: managing content through a global portal, by Linda MacDonald,
Hay Group
Global Gateway is a MOSS 2007 portal accessed by Hay Group’s employees
(over 2,000 staff in 86 offices across 49 countries). Linda will give a brief
tour of the portal and highlight some of the key features.
Discussion
Boards in SharePoint – some lessons learnt, by Janet White, Metropolitan
Police
Janet will share her experiences of a ‘mini-project’ to move the MPS
on-line discussion forums (Special Interest Groups) to SharePoint. This project
presented some challenges with respect to the permissions needed for
‘members-only’ groups.
