Yes, the Tools4Ever product will do exactly that. Only thing I haven't
asked it to do from your list is notify duplicates, but I suspect it
would do that as well.

Sorry for jumping on the bandwagon a bit here but just wondering if the
tools suggested so far could do the following?

- take a CSV-exported list from our MIS software that has the following
info firstname, lastname, studentID

- automatically create a username by combining the firstname and
lastname e.g. joe.bloggs

- automatically handle any duplicates e.g. adding a number on the end
etc and notifying of these at the end

- set the password as the student ID, never expire, cannot be changed

- set group membership

- set mandatory profile path

We're looking at having to put in 8000 part-time student accounts and
somehow think there might be quite a few duplicates in there somewhere!

Thanks,

Hi Robin

We use a really cheap tool called AD Infinitum from www.newfawm.com
<http://www.newfawm.com/> . Been using it for about four years now.

	Hi everyone,

We are pretty new to AD (Moving from eDir) and was wondering
what tools people use for managing and manipulating their Directory?

In particular, how do people import student user accounts and
passwords at the beginning of the year?

	All help gratefully received!

	Best wishes,

	Robin
