You may get more targetted replies if people know whether you are asking about admissions, fitness (admissions/whilst studying/registration), or general reasonable adjustments (as for all registerable courses applicants have to be certified fit prior to admission).

That said, the GMC produced a lot of useful guidance http://www.gmc-uk.org/education/undergraduate/news_and_projects/the_gateways_disability_project.asp

(used to be some on MEDEV, but it appears to have gone).

Dear All

We are a relatively new Medical School and have received our first enquiries from 2 potential applicants who are wheelchair users.

I understand that being in a wheelchair doesn’t fully explain the support requirements or reasonable adjustments which might be necessary for the students, and we are looking forward to working with our Disability team colleagues to determine these.  However, I wondered if there was anyone on the forum who has had experience of a wheelchair user training to be a Doctor who would be willing to share their experience and knowledge with us?  If so, please reply to [log in to unmask].

Many thanks!
Sue
