New Assistive Technologists discussion and practice-sharing group
facilitated by JISC TechDis.

We had a get together of 14 AT Specialists in January this year and saw
real value in sharing ideas, resources and technology tips - especially
when many of us are essentially "the only one" in our own organisations.

Our Scottish colleagues have a vibrant ATANET group and what we would
like to do is develop something along similar lines to support those in
the rest of the UK.

Following discussion with JISC TechDis we have created a moderated group
[log in to unmask] - currently Nuala and Simon are moderators of this
closed group and will bring issues from this closed list to the wider
TECH-DIS JISCmail list when appropriate.

Simon will also be facilitating a first meeting/conference for this
group on September 17th in York - if you wish to attend please contact
Nuala as soon as possible to register your interest.

If a significant part of your role involves supporting and shaping
assistive technology provision in your institution then we would love to
have you as part of this group.
