It would seem worthwhile learning about the medical confidentiality 
issues and any additional requirement they add to DP.  

Perhaps if a Caldicott guardian belongs to the list they could 
elucidate on any additional privacy issues (Enhancing the purely DP) 
which are attached to medical data within health orientated and allied 
sectors.

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts on data protection officers as 
third parties. My Occ Health person is new in post so if nothing else 
this is an ideal reason for me to talk to her while she’s keen and make 
sure she understands DP. I’m hoping we can also agree how these kind of 
requests will be handled in future (and keeping my fingers crossed that 
we don’t receive too many!)
