Conference on Women's History at University of Wales, Newport

The School of Education in conjunction with the West of England & South
Wales Women's History Network and the Women's Archive Wales is hosting
the Network's 15th annual conference at the Caerleon campus on Saturday
4th July 2009.

The theme of this year's event is ''Women and Activism: History and
Historical Perspectives'' and includes papers from scholars from Wales,
England, France, the USA and India covering a range of issues and
historical periods. Two renowned feminist historians, Professor Angela
John and Professor Deirdre Beddoe, will give keynote speeches on the
findings from their most recent research.

I've attached a publicity poster, the programme for the day and a
registration form. Please contact Rachel Lock-Lewis (conference
organiser) if you would like any further information on 01633 432133 or
