Hello everyone!
I hope everyone is well and
back to reality after a crazy few days in Leeds. As I said I would at the
conference, I am writing to you because Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery
are researching the possibility of publishing a book based on what we
have discovered from our 18th century herbarium. We have been undertaking
a project on this collection since January 2008 and have unearthed some
fascinating finds. The most intriguing of which are the descriptions on
how to use some of the specimens for medicinal and domestic purposes.
Rather than to have this information hidden in our stores, we have created an
online herbarium (www.plymouth.gov.uk/staubynherbarium) for everyone to see. However,
recently we have felt that it would be more accessible to present this
information in a book format as well.
We would be really grateful
if you could fill in the attached questionnaire. It should only take 5 minutes
(maximum) to fill out.
Thanks for your time,
Jess
