Dear Alisdair, How interesting... I wasn't aware of this other Beaumont Co. - I presume it was a Ltd. Lia. Co.? I think it may be a possibility that this 'new' Co. might have been formed to handle mineral rights and certain lands that were retained when they sold the mines, since, to my knowledge, they sold all their mines to Weardale Lead. I will see what I can find re Co. records. Interesting! Regards, Bernard
