Examples include those working in a medical sociology domain using Actor Network Theory, or those addressing expectations of medical diagnostics; there are many others. The application deadline is 22nd May 2009. Applications should be sent to [log in to unmask] and should include the following: * A completed abstract submission form downloadable from the website www.psts.org.uk * A curriculum vitae (no more than 2 pages) The awards include the cost of attending the conference (£125) and a contribution to travel expenses (up to £50). PLEASE FIND BELOW THE ORIGINAL CALL FOR ABSTRACTS The Institute for Science and Society at the University of Nottingham invites you to the first UK Postgraduate Science and Technology Studies (PSTS) conference on the 28th and 29th July 2009. If you are engaged in research in science, technology and society and related fields, then the event will provide a key forum in which to present on-going research and build networks within the UK STS community.
