Do You Want to Attend the Event of the Year for Free?
 

The Career Development Group is offering one Early Arrival Full Delegate place and standard travel expenses (up to £100) to a New Professional wishing to attend CILIP’s flagship event, the Umbrella Conference.

Umbrella 2009 Conference, Making Connections, takes place on Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th July 2009 at the University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield.

With 56 sessions and an international plenary speaker, the exhibition and poster sessions, as well as the prestigious Libraries Change Lives Award ceremony with Andrew Motion, plus great social events such as the first-timers lunch, the conference reception and the gala dinner, the Conference is a fantastic CPD activity and a wonderful networking opportunity for New Library & Information Professionals. This opportunity is open to members of the Career Development Group who have joined the profession, either through work or study, in the last 5 years. First-time delegates, current LIS students and members from diverse backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply.
