I have been asked to find out the numbers of dietitians employed by NHS trusts and local authorities. My enquirer told me that he had heard that there is an annual survey recording this data. I have done a bit of hunting around, so far with no luck (websites of Department of Health, NHS Information Centre, British Dietetic Association, Health Professions Council, Google, etc). I have sent the British Dietetic Association an inquiry, but in the meantime, is there an obvious source for this sort of information that I am missing?
