Could I suggest that the accessibility of the interface is also included in the list. In most countries disability legislation would require such systems to be accessible to assistive technologies such as screenreaders or keyboard-only access.

Some suppliers are better than others at providing information about their accessibility (and some are unreliable in the accuracy of their claims). It may not be a big issue for you at the moment but as soon as a disabled user tries to access it you will be glad you took it into account!

Subject: [LIS-E-RESOURCES] ERMS

Dear Sir or Madam,

We are responsible for our institution, the University of Geneva, to
consider various options and select an ERMS (Electronic resource
management system) for managing our journals collection and electronic
resources. We would like to know which product or which solution was
chosen in other institutions. Could you answer even briefly to these
questions :

    * If you have an ERMS, which product did you choose ?
    * Could you specify, and, if possible, quantify, what kind of
resources do you manage ? (journals, databases, others)
    * Do you use it also for the management of you paper journals ?
    * If provided, does the knowledge database match your needs ?
    * Advantages / disadvantages of the chosen product
    * Comments

    * Can you give us the name of a contact person if we need more
      information?

Thank you for your interest and your answers by return email at our
email addresses (please not on the mailing list)
