Feeling Good:
Health information for children and young people

Chester, UK
23rd & 24th June 2009

This two day international conference will bring together library and
information workers, health professionals, researchers and those from the
voluntary sector with an interest in the effective and innovative provision of
health information for children and young people.

Sessions include:
•Evidence into practice: Evaluating a child-centred information
intervention for diabetes medicine management (The EPIC Project)
•Young mothers who choose to breastfeed: the importance of familial
and peer support
•Baby Café in Felixstowe Library
•The Development of a Healthy Lifestyle Programme for Adolescent

•Rona Barbour, The Storyteller – Storytelling Therapy
•Aidan Macfarlane - Teenage Health Freak books/websites
•Using the Arts to Transform the Lives of War-affected Children in
Colombia
•HIV/AIDS in Young Adult Novels
•Healthybooks.org.uk – Bibliotherapy for Children


Venue: University of Chester, UK
Registration fees: £190 for both days, or £100 for 1 day (reduced rates for
students).
