Within the School of Medicine, the Wessex Institute is a leading-edge centre for health technology assessment in the UK.

You will be a member of an outstanding team of health economists/modellers in the Wessex Institute who support the production of high quality research related to the economic evaluation of health technologies, and research on methodological developments related to economic evaluation and health economics. You will be enthusiastic with a good knowledge of economics.
Scope exists for training in health economics for appointment at the junior level and the salary will be £27,183-£33,432 per annum. For appointment as a senior health economist you will be expected to have experience in economic evaluation, and the salary will be £34,435-£43,662 per annum. Appointment will be dependent on qualifications and experience.
