Links into Languages Regional Manager £36,532 - £43,622 p.a.

Fixed term until 31 March 2011

 

We are seeking an experienced manager to lead the development of the West Midlands Regional Support Centre for the government-funded Links into Languages programme at Aston University. This high profile role will make a significant contribution to the development of CPD for language teachers regionally. You will develop and manage the programme of activity in the West Midlands, ensuring that key national and regional priorities are met. You will lead resource and budget planning for the Centre and act as key contact for support of the programme in the region, building links with key organisations and overseeing the work of affiliated local centres. The successful candidate must be a proficient linguist, holding a languages degree or equivalent.  Awareness of language teaching issues nationally and regionally and project management skills are essential. This role will involve frequent travel within the West Midlands and occasional travel across the UK.
