We would like to draw your attention to the upcoming Geological Society of Australia Specialist Group in Geochemistry, Mineralogy and Petrology biannual conference on Kangaroo Island, South Australia, from 8^th to 13^th November, 2009.

The conference will cover three main themes:

--New evidence and methods to illuminate the Earths secular evolution;

--Unique Australia, how and why?;

--Cutting edge techniques: description and application.

Field excursions to superb localities of rocks from the Delamerian (Cambrian) Orogeny (plus local wineries) are integrated with the conference program
