Royal Collection Education, Freelance opportunity

£15 per hour

 

Royal Collection Education is seeking a Freelance Project Co-ordinator to develop and run the Family Activity Programme at Windsor Castle. The programme has been running successfully for over five years with participants numbering more than 12,000 on an annual basis.

 

Post: Freelance Education Project Co-ordinator

Start date: 22 June 2009 for an approximate 10 month period.

Reporting to: Senior Education Manager

 

The Freelancer will be required to work flexibly, for an approximate 10 month period, as and when required. The role will be based at St James's Palace, with frequent trips to Windsor Castle.

                       

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Develop resources, lead delivery and supervise family activity sessions.
• Undertake research in order to lead guided tours.
• Evaluate activities and tours, according to learning objectives and GLOs.
• Work with the Senior Education Manager to develop new resources for family audiences.

 

The role is ideally suited to an individual with a background and experience in education work, an interest in heritage and gallery education, excellent communication skills and the ability to work with audiences of all ages. Additionally, an interest in British history and its interpretation would be an advantage. Applicants must have Disclosure clearance at enhanced level.

 

Successful appointment will be dependent upon an interview, satisfactory references and security clearance, and the appointee will be required to sign an Undertaking of Confidentiality.
