The DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) is
what psychologists use to diagnose 'mental illness' in children and
adults. It is currently being revised - a critical matter overall for
what is considered 'normal' and 'abnormal', and what sorts of
behaviours are considered as needing to be treated or medicated.
