This user joined the list in August 2008.  I have searched the archives and this commercial advert is their first post that I can find.  I have set their status to "moderated" on the basis that the topic was actually potentially useful.  However this apparent person has been a list member and in receipt of email since August 2008 and ought to know better.

No request for permission to post has been received.

It's quite an insult to have someone ride roughshod over our wishes in this manner, especially with the course title.  And, since I sent out a similar email yesterday about someone else, it seems to me to be an unusually silly act.

As usual Sam Hill will check my action.
