BIRD LA BIRD:

Exploding Queer Femininities

This lecture will feature ideas and documentation of Bird Club, an arts cabaret event featuring feminist strippers on roller skates, political parody, pomo queer burlesque, sloganeering, brainwashing, film, interactive performance and stand up comedy. Bird favours collaborative ways of working and likes to bring creative people together to support, challenge and amuse. Bird Club have also created their own peerage system as an antidote to the lack of recognition queer women receive.

BIRD LA BIRD: Bird la Bird is an artist who makes performance, graphic designs, music, costumes, and street parties. She turned her back on the market-driven art world to join the circus and has never looked back.
