Claire I have taken this to mean any notice that is prescribed in regulation 15 of, and schedule 3 to, the Contaminated Land (England) Regulation 2000. E.g. remediation notices; notices relating to the designation of land as a special site; notices relating to termination of designation as a special site. I'd be interested to hear what others have decided is a notice for this purpose. Do they mean has the site has been determined as contaminated land, in which case an entry on the register would be made (which is covered in part b of the question) or do they mean an actual remediation notice? We are having quite a few queries about this and no one seems to be clear.
