Upgrading to new server
We are starting the planning process of installing Blackboard to a brand new server in the summer. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips for how to migrate the databases (Microsoft SQL server) and content, etc. to a new server. I have had trouble in the past backing up the SQL databases and restoring them to a different SQL server. I am sure this would be easy for a DBA but we don’t have one. I would have liked to have used Server 2008, SQL server 2008 but I understand this is not recommended by BB.
