From 1st June Herefordshire Record Office will change its opening hours to: Monday Closed Tuesday 9.15 a.m. - 4.45 p.m. Wednesday 10.00 a.m. - 4.45 p.m. Thursday 9.15 a.m. - 4.45 p.m. Friday 9.15 a.m. - 4.45 p.m. Saturday (2nd in the month) 9.15 a.m. - 4.45 p.m. The telephone will continue to be answered and e-mails picked up on the closed Mondays. These altered hours will allow Archive Service staff to carry out further work on essential background tasks such as cataloguing and indexing, production of other finding aids, website development and conservation. There will initially be a 6 month trial with a review in December 2009 - all comments are welcomed.
