Assistant Archivist (Two posts)

Information Services - Research & Learning Resources Division

£27,183 - £35,469 per annum, pro rata


Two qualified archivists are required to support the Manuscripts and Special Collections department in tackling a series of cataloguing and collection management projects and in supporting the delivery of public services.

One post particularly involves work on the University's archival collections; the other will include enhancement of collection management information in CALM and work on recently acquired collections. Candidates will be considered for both posts.

Candidates should have a postgraduate qualification (or equivalent) in archive management, excellent communication and IT skills, and the ability to take the initiative and work to deadlines. Experience in the use of CALM and in the web delivery of archive services and resources is desirable.

These full-time posts will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of one year and are open to job share.
