Copyright for Archives Training Day

The South West region of the Society of Archivists is now taking bookings for this event aimed at anyone working with archives / special collections who feels that they would benefit from training or a refresher session in copyright.  The day will be led by Tim Padfield from the National Archives, author of Copyright for Archivists and Records Managers, copyright adviser to the Society of Archivists and chair of Libraries and Archives Copyright Alliance.

Sessions will include an introduction to copyright in the morning, followed by exercises in the afternoon and a chance to discuss copyright issues/ask questions. 

This training day has been arranged by popular request and is limited to 20 places, so please book early to avoid disappointment.  Details are given below.

 

·          DATE: Friday 26 June, 2009

·         COST: £40 for SoA members or £50 for non-members (price includes lunch, tea and coffee)

2.00 pm    Rights clearance and exercises

3.00 pm    Discussion/questions

3.30 pm    Thanks and close with tea and coffee
