** Apologies for cross-posting ** Hello all, I’m emailing to ask for your help towards organising the Radical Statistics group’s annual conference next year. The RadStats conference is to be held in Friends House, Euston Road , London NW1 2BJ on Saturday 27th February 2010. It is proposed that the overall theme will be 'Whose statistics?', encapsulating RadStats concerns as outlined in www.radstats.org.uk/about.htm We are looking for your help in 2 ways: (1) Email to the Troika with speaker suggestions or proposals for presentations. We are looking for suggestions of speakers who encapsulate RadStats core concerns. At present we have a few ideas, but would value some input – if you could email to [log in to unmask] by the end of June that would be really useful. If you would like to offer a paper this would be great and we would be happy to discuss ideas with you. Please note, this request for help is not necessarily a call for papers, perhaps you know of a relevant campaign going on in your area, or something important that you have seen in the media or have read about recent research in journal papers with radical statistics perspective - please email us with the information & we will approach the people involved. (2) The Troika are looking for volunteers to be on the 2010 RadStats conference committee, as present there are 3 of us. Involvement would mainly include helping with the programme, along with conference publicity. Thanks in advance, Cheers Eileen, Ludi & Lee (the Troika) [log in to unmask]
