Dear Allstat, The RSS’ newest section, the Young Statisticians Section (YSS), are organising an exciting ”Careers Day” at the RSS London headquarters on Monday 15th June. The event features case studies from a range of statistical fields by statisticians at different stages in their careers. Twelve talks are offered, run in two parallel sessions, on statistical issues in the medical, environment, government and business sectors. There is also a CPD plenary session which focuses on developing skills as a professional statistician. The event will be followed by a wine reception. This will be a great opportunity for career-young statisticians to learn of methodologies used in their own field of work as well as other fields. Of equal importance, this will also be the perfect opportunity to network amongst fellow young statisticians!
