... thanks for all
the suggestions.
Steven, perhaps it is that paper I'm looking
for.
Did you or Diana mention it already within
Aacorn?
But I do not remember the notion of
Stanislawski.
The topic focused precisely on how to
construct
authenticity (in the perception of a potential
target)
by branding. It made a difference between
pure
construction - pop music - and the notion
of
emphasising an existing identiy. (I think
the
example was the jazz-musician Meredith
Monk.)
It can also be that I read the information in
another
context as Aacorn.
Thanks Steven, if you could share a copy. I will
see,
if it is linked to my questions.

Subject: Re: ?authenticity? definition
Hi, authenticity sounds
great, what we all want, right? More of it! The
artists know all about it
and modern organizations call for it, with the
heartfel help of consultants,
professors, and other academics.
And yet.... the warning from Boltanski and
Chiapello about the
absorption of the artistic critique into New Management
cannot be
sniffed at. To what extent/when/how are we unwittingly
contributing to
the silencing of social critique?
