Jurgen, May be branding have more to do with "visuality" so there may be some interesting notations for you in Gombrich's "Art and illusion" and "Ecology of the images" (on the construction of authenticity through illusion, you know the kind of idea that if you paint a green circle against a grey foreground the foreground will look pink). And also everything that has been written on Impressionism. Just to follow on the theatre may be one of the seminal "modern" source if you don't want to go back to Aristotle seems to me Diderot's "paradox of the comedian". (and a propos of nothing except I just finished to read it, if you don't have read it yet, I advise "Eisenbauten : Ihre Geschichte und Aesthetic" by A G Meyer (1904) (foreword by Walter Benjamin) a perfect example of methodology on how engineering reached an art level in the 19th century (it is published in French too..)) It's: Ladkin, D & Taylor, S. S. In Press. Enacting the 'true self': Towards a theory of embodied authentic leadership, Leadership Quarterly. I could share a copy of it, if that would be helpful. But it has nothing to do with branding. - Steve On 5/15/09 8:03 AM, "Vincent Degot" <[log in to unmask]> wrote: > Jürgen, may be you could have a look at the work of Stanislavski "the training > of the actor", "the construction of the character" (free translation from > French!) which led to the actor's studio > > best > > Vincent > Steven S.
