Yeah, but that Christina Rossetti writes some steamy stuff there, is that kind of fake archaism? With a bit of friendly advice she could go a long way. I get the impression the rest of the list was just what landed up in the critic's in-basket during the last two months - so-called basket-cases.
Halvard, I would make that Das Lied von der Erde (intended as a symphony but M frightened of number 9) 9 (he was right, he didn't finish another), 6, 3, then 4, 7, 5, then 1, 8 - and 10 as the one he didn't finish not strictly ratable. My Haydn symphony top 104 goes 88, 98, 49 ...snore
