Hi Carolyn,

We work with MIMSY XG and were fortunate enough to have a former
entomologist on our documentation staff for a while. She did a lot of the
taxonomic mapping to the database.

Happy to discuss over beer too.

Best wishes
Jeanne

Thank you - and cheers (the beer budget will be full!) It seems to have been
causing great debate in Leics. I am looking forward to finding solutions -
but I get the feeling from talking to people that is the needle in the
haystack. Oh well!

Hi Carolyn
I think you will be enjoying some long evenings in the bar if taxonomy and
documentation are on the agenda ...!
Too little time to respond by e-mail, but will be pleased to chat about what
we've done, at the conference.
Tony

Hi
I have just taken over the natural life collections team in Leicestershire
and
like every curator in the world inherited the issues of documentation.
Little has been established in Mimsy XG and I have been asked to address
this
for our collections. I have moved into the unit from an outreach
background...
so all new to me! If anyone can send me screen dumps for their natural
history
pages, it would be a great help to myself and colleagues. I am trying to
work
out how people have dealt with the taxonomy issues that seem to be causing
the blocks.
I will be very grateful - beers will be the bribe offered at the conference
as
thanks! I am looking forward to meeting folks!
Best wishes
Carolyn Holmes
